What Gaslight Daily does

Gaslight Daily is a fact-checking newsletter service that focuses on public statements from the Trump Administration and members of Congress. Every day, we review statements made in the previous 24 hours and highlight those that are clearly false, seriously misleading, or constitute gaslighting.

We rely on original sources whenever possible—official transcripts, social media posts from official accounts, government releases, and the congressional record. For context, we use neutral, straight-news outlets like the Associated Press and Reuters, not opinion pieces or partisan commentary.

Our approach is nonpartisan. We apply the same rigorous standards to all political figures, regardless of party affiliation. We don't force artificial balance—if one side makes more false statements in a given day, that's what we report. Our goal is accuracy and transparency, not equivalence.

Each newsletter is delivered at 2:00 AM Pacific Time, giving you a clear-eyed view of the previous day's most significant misstatements before your day begins.
